Demian van Gils (Markteffect)
Demian van Gils is a data specialist at Markteffect and finalist of the Data & Insights Awards 2024. In his talk will show how young professionals can drive change by spotting opportunities for innovation and automation. You’ll learn where to look for improvements, why they matter, and how to turn ideas into impactful solutions. Drawing from personal experience in building innovative tools, Demian will share practical tips and strategies to help you successfully implement new ideas and make a meaningful impact in your organization.

With a background in economic psychology and data science, Demian offers an unique perspective on research processes by blending expertise in market research with analytical and programming skills. He has developed multiple tools to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and make daily tasks more enjoyable for researchers. Passionate about out-of-the-box solutions, Demian is dedicated to turning innovative ideas into reality, driving meaningful change and progress within the market research industry.

Pauline Piens (SKIM)
Pauline is a Manager in SKIM’s healthcare team, with a strong academic background in physiotherapy and international health management. Her deep-rooted interest in understanding the patient perspective is central to her work. At SKIM, Pauline is a leading expert in patient research, specializing in mixed methods research that combines both qualitative and quantitative approaches. She is dedicated to highlighting and prioritizing patients’ stories in her work.

Pauline will delve into an innovative method for generating and prioritizing ideas to consult your clients with understanding their business questions, inspired by the healthcare sector to enhance overall consumer experiences. She will share insights from a case study that highlights the challenges and solutions in supporting individuals through their journey, focusing on awareness and daily life impact. This session will provide a comprehensive overview of how holistic consumer experience research can transform client strategies and improve understanding of customer needs.

Tickets are free but registration is required. Afterwards we will attend the Data & Insights Network’s New Year’s Reception which is held at the same location. Please note that you need to register separately for the New Year’s Reception here.
